Each of the three rooms in Transcendence used different tile from KOHLER WasteLAB.

The bone-finish tile in the room was complemented byĀ 1920ā€™s pedestal sinks in the heritage color Spring Green.

The tile surface features color gradients and a crackle design that add a sense of depth and aging, appropriate to the history of hammams.

The arch pattern created in arranging the individual tiles pays homage to traditional architecture of hammams, while giving the look a contemporary update.

From Waste to Wonder

All three rooms in the Transcendence installation feature custom tiles made from nearly 100% recycled manufacturing waste by KOHLER WasteLAB. Explore WasteLab tiles.

The Golden Age in Design Miami

An annual culture and commerce event, Design Miami is one of the premier venues for collecting, exhibiting, discussing, and creating collectible design. This yearā€™s theme, ā€œThe Golden Age: Looking to the Future,ā€ called attention to inclusivity, social connections, and our relationship to the natural worldā€”all of which tied in seamlessly with the hammam concept.

Nada Debs and Laura Kohler,Ā Chief Sustainability & DEI Officer, took part in a panel discussion on the relationship between design, wellness, and inclusivity.
